PUBLIC EXPOSE 8.30

University of Tarumanagara Jakarta presents 24 best final projects of its architecture undergraduate programme in a virtual exhibition, Public Expose 8.30. Public Expose 8.30 is the 30th semi-annual event that will be showcasing a collection of projects which focuses on the theme, “future dwelling based on today”. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this exhibition will be held virtually therefore hoping to reach a larger scale of audience.

In the evolution of architecture, time, space, place, and the concept to survive have a strong relation to the dwelling itself. The concept of time and space becomes very important to signify where, when, and how someone lives and dwells in this world.

The word “dwelling” in this context conveys something more than having a roof over our head and a certain number of square meters at our disposal according to Christian Norberg-Schulz’s The Concept of Dwelling. We may define dwelling as three meanings, collective, public, and private dwelling. These three stages have a complex spatial dimension in the concept of dwelling, it is because to dwell as an idea of dwelling must give a comprehensive contribution to the existential sense of this world.

Virtual exhibition will be launched for public on 21st January 2021 and online critique will be held via Zoom on 23rd January 2021.
